About me
I am currently a tenure-track Associate Professor in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Before that, I was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biostatistics at Yale University, mentored by Prof. Hongyu Zhao and Prof. Rui Chang. I obtained my PhD degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) supervised by Prof. Can Yang.
Our group develops novel artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and statistical methods to address fundamental challenges in data science, with a particular focus on large-scale biomedical data. We are interested in designing AI-driven, statistically principled, and computationally efficient algorithms for analyzing single-cell, spatial omics, and genetic data. By combining methodological innovation with real-world applications, we develop reliable computational tools that enable knowledge discovery and generate new insights into biological systems and human disease.
