About me
I am currently a tenure-track Associate Professor in the School of Mathematical Sciences at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Before that, I was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biostatistics at Yale University, mentored by Prof. Hongyu Zhao and Prof. Rui Chang. I obtained my PhD degree from the Department of Mathematics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) supervised by Prof. Can Yang.
My research focuses on developing novel statistical machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) methods to address fundamental challenges in data science, with an emphasis on biomedical applications. We develop AI-driven, statistically principled, and computationally efficient algorithms for analyzing single-cell, spatial omics, and genetic data. By integrating mathematical modeling, statistical inference, and computational innovation with applications, our research aims to build reliable computational methods that advance scientific discovery and deepen our understanding of health and disease.
We are actively looking for motivated students and postdoctoral researchers to join our group. If you are interested in our research, please send your CV to me by email.
